barking_iguanaA man's view of politics is strongly influenced by having watched his father run for President, be treated unfairly by the media, and lose. The man uses family connections and resources to build a life that includes getting elected governor and serving with little distinction or notoriety.
Then he runs for President. To get the GOP nomination, he says some pretty far out things. But even though he wasn't much of a governor, he never used to froth at the mouth, so we figure he's just putting on a show for the rubes.
Gee, this worked out so well the last time we elected someone like that, let's try it again!
