Takashi Shimura = David Suchet?

I just saw the latter part of the PBS version of Murder on the Orient express. I've long like the portrayal of Poirot by David Suchet in that series. But I didn't notice until tonight, wherein he is sadder than usual, how similar in manner and bearing he is to Takashi Shimura in The Seven Samurai. The bald forehead helps the resemblance, too, of course.
