Because Christine's not on Facebook
Aug. 29th, 2009 06:24 pmSo I'll say it here, too, even though it's short:
The Mets need to go 23-10 just to finish at .500. The Yankees could finish 10-23 and still maybe get the Wildcard.
It's more fun when they're both winning, but at least this state of affairs gives me confidence the sun will still come up in the morning.

OTOH, maybe last home game tickets at Citi Field will be relatively cheap to come by this season...

Date: 2009-08-31 03:54 am (UTC)I usually get back something like 3/4 of the price on at least two of the three tickets (as credit for season renewal), though, by releasing them to the public. And I save money by not blowing it on game attendance expenses.
It’s getting really uncomfortable for me sitting at Midway Stadium, and I may be one of the few people in my circle actually looking forward to the building of a new stadium, which is going to happen for the same reason that you trade in a car when it starts leaking oil. But I am afraid of not getting a good location on seats, even if they are theater-style instead of benches; if they are not good, I might stop going. The same thing goes if there is a significant walk with parking, because, again by necessity, this place is going to be ‘green’ – IOW designed for public transportation.
