I can't get to CNet. The page is forever loading, with a message saying "transferring data from i.i.com.com..." I googled i.i.com.com and the only link was for TechRepublic with a techrepublic.com.com address. I clicked on the link and now that too is forever loading, first with a message saying "transferring data from i.zdnet.com.com..." and now saying "transferring data from i.i.techrepublic.com.com..."

I can get to cnet.co.uk, for what it's worth. Can the rest of you get to CNet, or is it just me? And what is this i.i.com.com shit?

OK, I can get through now (after about an hour of constant trying). I wonder if it's an ad-server that was having problems or something.

I don't know about the i.i subdomains, but I know that com.com is owned by News.com. (They picked a name, but were too late to get the news.com domain, so they bought com.com and used news.com.com as their front page.) And right now, news.com.com redirects to news.cnet.com, so there was probably a merger or buy-out or renaming in there somewhere.

So I'd guess i.i.com.com is probably some internal server.
