I agree, mentioning it would be completely out of bounds, but the non-mentioning is legitimate news, and should be reported.

The amazing thing is that in today's media climate that sentence almost makes sense.

I've never read a National Enquirer, and I probably never will. So I'm not qualified to mention it.
