So New York is about to get an African American, pro-Clinton governor and people are saying this will hurt the Clinton campaign? Expect Patterson to get a lot of national exposure between now and when the nomination is finally settled.

I don’t read any such blogs and I guess I don’t care. I’m bothered by the Spitzer thing because it is using up time and breath in the news and talk outlets. Glenn Greenwald’s input was worth reading, but otherwise, feh. I’m too busy keeping my blood at a low simmer wrt Lady Macbeth.

Hey, Spitzer supports Clinton, so it's natural to think this is bad for them. I don't think it will matter much, but I don't think Power's resignation will matter much either in the long run.

And David Patterson was a decent boss (I worked for him for a couple of years) but I wouldn't call him terribly photogenic guy. I don't expect him to have much national stature after this.

BTW I don’t see how it is either good or bad for Clinton. The New York primary is history, so it must be a nationwide thing people are talking about. Would it help if I went door to door here in Minnesota asking whether people have changed to or from Clinton on account of Elliot Spitzer’s hypocrisy? Because I think my neighbors will worry more about me than anything else, so I don’t really want to do that. :)
