Clinton's concentrating on Ohio and Texas, and her erstwhile insider supporters are supposedly telling her she has to win both or everybody will swing to Obama.

But IMO, she needs to pay attention to Wisconsin first. If her lead there evaporates, she'll bleed too much support to hold Ohio. But if she does win Wisconsin, then a big win in Texas could keep the race going, even if she has a close loss in Ohio.

Whatever happens, I hope we have an acknowledged nominee by the night of the Pennsylvania primary, at the latest. That's April 22.

Rudy's campaign manager praises Hillary's wait for Ohio and Texas strategy ...

Mike DuHaime, a Republican consultant who managed Rudolph W. Giuliani’s campaign, said Mrs. Clinton was making the right decisions in trying to make the most of her strengths.

“Clearly, she has had success in larger states and there are a whole bunch of delegates at stake on March 4,” Mr. DuHaime said. “They are not trying to figure out who can win the most states; they are trying to figure out who can win the most delegates.”

Special Thanks to TPM Reader SN for this chilling catch.

Sure. The manager who cost Giuliani his chance at the nomination with a stupid decision to skip states is trying to save his repuation by poining out that somebody else is sort of making the same decision, albeit not nearly as extrememly.

Hmm. If that’s the game, it’s a bad one, because what this actually achieves, assuming Clinton loses, is to associate yourself with two losers instead of one.

But, then, he’s an idiot.

(Which reminds me of my shock and disappointment on hearing that John Edwards had hired Joe Trippi.)

I agree. If you're going to fight, fight everywhere it's possible to do so.
