A cheap, good drink
Sep. 17th, 2007 09:21 pm1 oz. Everclear
6 oz. Poland Spring
1 squeeze (probably less than a tsp.) Sicilia brand lime juice
It works because Poland Spring tastes better than just about any vodka, and good lime juice is just sweet enough and leaves no Roses-style aftertaste.

Date: 2007-09-18 01:38 am (UTC)I've got imagine that it's a very clear flavor but I think it might burn a hole in my stomach even if it is diluted with water.
So how many test drinks did it take for you to find those proportions?

Date: 2007-09-18 01:54 am (UTC)Diluted Everclear will burn a whole in your stomac no more and no less than vodaka will. They're essentially identical, except for whatever impurities (minerals) are in either the water used to make the vodka or the water you dilute the Everclear with.
Of course these days, some vodkas are have intentional flavorings added. Even some vodkas that aren't advertised as flavored do that. An orange-like flavor is what I've enountered as an unlabeled flavor. Failing that, though, vodka is just alchohol and water. Same as Everclear.
