I've long assumed that anyone who reads me who's also in IT knows Tom Limoncelli, and therefore also knows all about his books. But probably that's not true, and I should have pointed to them earlier.

He's written the highly acclaimed

• The Practice of System and Network Administration (good enough to establish a career as an author), now in its second edition
• Time Management for System Administrators, which takes good, generally applicable time-management techniques and uses a thorough knowledge of the field to apply them to system administration
• The Complete April Fools' Day RFCs, which you've probably chuckeld at some of already, now compiled in one book for amusing bathroom reading

Well, none of these titles seems related to my former vocations, except perhaps to the extent that I had to take some care of my own particular network nodes.
