staisfaction, frustration
Jul. 22nd, 2007 11:48 pmAt Dexcon this afternoon, I finished successfully defending my Power Grid championship. Nominally, this is the U.S. National championship. It doesn't deserve to be, but there was good competition and I'm happy to have won. (And congratulations to
mnemex for regaining the Alhambra championship.)
Afterward, I went and got dinner with a bunch of local gamers whom I'd only known through conventions, and with whom I'll likely be gaming outside conventions in the near future. All very nice.
I went home to rest for a few hours. When I finally goet it together to do anything beyond catch up on my emial, the clock said it was 11:15, which is 15 minutes after Barnes and Noble closes, which means it's too late to go get a copy of Deathly Hallows, as I was planning to do. I guess I won't be able to start it until at least tomorrow.
